Arbitration

Arbitration is a procedure in which a neutral third-party listens to both sides of a dispute and adjudicates the matter. Parties involved in arbitration are effectively opting out of the court system and submitting their case for resolution and final decision by an Arbitrator.

Arbitration is a private proceeding. The existence and details of the dispute remain confidential.

Arbitration can be customized by the parties for establishing a location, creating a schedule, and selecting the procedural and evidentiary rules.

Arbitration is generally faster, less expensive and more informal than going to court.

The Arbitrator’s decision is binding on the parties as a court judgment, and the court can enforce the Arbitrator’s decision if necessary.
